Welcome to Crawl or No Crawl. Yesterday I shared with members a new measurement that caught my eye and is the latest volley ball between SEO influencers and John Mueller.

If you spend any time in Google Search Console you know there is normally a two-day delay in the data. In normal circumstances the most recent data we could see in our consoles today, July 3rd, would have been July 1st.

And that under the Date filter they added a while back “Most recent date” which typically would be the same as the day we were on. E.g. Normally, there would have be an option for today’s date, July 3rd.

But it hasn’t been that while for several days now. And people are starting to think this is going to be bad.

Are you ready for some data on this and not just pearl clutching??

So far, there’s been two really cool takeaways for not just this research but also for the canonical issue research and today’s test result.
