Welcome to Crawl or No Crawl this fine day in January. There are roofers above my head banging away so I won’t be torturing you with attempting to record a video for this one.
This report will have some information that all member accounts will likely find helpful about what is in here. And to help you to know whether or not you might want to concern yourself with leveraging your time and subscribe to get expanded input on:
whether or not Google is indexing and rendering the content on your or your client’s sites.
or if there is a method of indexing that works 100% of the time?
or if there is something going within the indexation sub-systems that might be impacting what you’re seeing in results
or knowing ahead of time if there are any overt signs of an update on the way or when its really over (neither of these types of events align up with Google announcements)

A new step by step tutorial on what to do when you see pages that should be indexed in Search Console listed as “Crawled - currently not indexed”.
Resources in a sidebar - new ones indicated by an asterisk.
How to submit logs to be run through an in-house tool (not available to public) in order to receive a spreadsheet back of just google crawls to review and see what they are interested in on your site.
* Link to the Crawl or No Crawl Youtube channel - a library of over 348 videos of past reports (For those here who are not familiar with the basis of this research project - these videos were published over the course of two (2) years and are available to peruse and familiarize yourself with the basis premise of this test that is being run daily.)
* For those curious about javascript - there is a link to a Google Developer doc that has the best schematic to date of the indexation subsystems - crawling, rendering and indexing
Before I leave you to speak with supporting members, if you’re curious about what I’m actually doing (no, you won’t see the actual URLs because testing sites need to be protected from bad actors) and if you can deal with words like “vxlchnmqws” then you’re well on your way to understanding seo testing enough to get something out of it. And this article on crawlers has a beginning section that walks you through this project’s testing process.
